Progressive Companies was contracted by the Frey Foundation to develop an asset management plan for the Ecliptic at Rosa Parks Circle, a beloved public space in downtown Grand Rapids. In collaboration with New York-based landscape architects Quennell Rothschild & Partners LLP, Progressive Companies worked closely with world-renowned artist Maya Lin to refine design upgrades and material selections.

Previously, Progressive Companies led the 2010 reopening of the four-block pedestrian mall to street traffic, overseeing infrastructure and streetscape improvements. This effort included coordinating multiple specialty consultants for theatrical lighting and sound, fiber optics, fountain design, specialty concrete, stabilized gravel, seat walls, snowmelt systems, refrigeration, and brick paving. Progressive Companies provided consultant coordination, cost estimating, and construction management, ensuring the space remains a vibrant and engaging landmark for the community.
