The St. Robert of Newminster Parish project involved a significant addition designed to accommodate a growing and active Catholic community in the Grand Rapids area. The new worship space seats 1,200 parishioners and features a formal entry with drop-off, restrooms, a chapel, reconciliation rooms, and a baptistery. A key challenge was seamlessly integrating the new addition with the existing church while elevating the overall facility's functionality and presence.

A neutral, transitional Parish life center connects new and existing spaces, providing an intimate place for parishioners to gather before and after services. This addition also includes a dynamic youth center capable of hosting 250 people with table games and a half-court basketball area. Flexible classrooms, a café with garage doors for adaptability, and discreet motorized presentation technology support a wide range of parish activities. The project earned an Associated Builders & Contractors Award of Excellence for church construction.
