St. Sebastian Catholic Church serves a rapidly growing rural parish community that had outgrown its historic 100-year-old church. The new 11,000-square-foot building seats 500 people in its initial phase and is master planned to accommodate an additional 500 seats in future expansions. Designed with rural charm and inspired by agricultural structures, the church seamlessly integrates a contemporary style while allowing for future growth.

A standout feature of the design is the dramatic concrete buttresses, which serve both architectural and structural purposes. Rising 13 feet above the finished floor, these buttresses include seven distinct planes set at various angles, intersected by two archways. The remainder of the roof structure is composed of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), creating an expansive open interior that enhances the spiritual atmosphere of the worship space. Completed in 2023, the bell tower was honored with an excellence in construction award as well as an Illuminating Engineering Society award for lighting design.
