Progressive Companies Announces Meredith Bronk as New President and CEO
The firm is pleased to announce that Meredith Bronk has been appointed as its new President and CEO, succeeding longtime leader Bradley Thomas. Bronk, a seasoned executive and well-known leader in the Grand Rapids community, is returning to the area after a successful tenure in private equity. This strategic transition marks an exciting new chapter in the firm’s growth and diversification efforts.
“I am thrilled to be back in West Michigan and to have the opportunity to lead an organization like Progressive Companies, which has such a strong foundation and a clear vision for the future,” said Bronk. “My experience in driving transformational growth has given me the tools to help the firm expand while staying true to its core values of connecting people, places and communities through diverse spaces. I look forward to working with the team and our clients as we enter this exciting new phase of growth.”
Bradley Thomas, who has served as President and CEO of Progressive Companies for the past 20 years, will transition to a focus on working closely with clients on key initiatives, such as riverfront development and skyline defining projects. Under Thomas’ leadership, Progressive Companies has evolved into a nationally recognized design firm known for its commitment to innovative solutions and client service. As a long-tenured leader, Thomas retains significant ownership in the employee-owned firm and will continue serving as a Principal and on its Board of Directors.
“I am confident that Meredith is the right leader to guide Progressive Companies through its next evolution,” said Thomas. “Her track record of successfully growing businesses will ensure that the firm continues to thrive, while I look forward to focusing my time on working more directly with our valued clients.”
Bronk’s leadership background is extensive, most recently serving as the Head of Portfolio Operations at a prominent private equity firm. In this role, she managed a portfolio of companies, overseeing operations and guiding them through expansion and innovation. Bronk previously led Grand Rapids-based Open Systems Technologies, Inc. (now Vervint) where she served for 25 years in roles as COO and CEO. Now, she returns to Grand Rapids, where her business acumen positions Progressive Companies for continued success as it expands further into new markets and services beyond architecture and engineering
As the firm navigates this leadership transition, it remains firmly committed to its mission of delivering impactful, inclusive, and sustainable client-driven solutions that shape the future of the built environment. With Bronk at the helm, Progressive Companies is poised for continued growth and success at the national level
