Wes Jones

As managing principal of the firm’s Charlotte Office, Wes leads operations, market growth, community relations, and business development in the region. He also serves clients as a strategic advisor in the civic, workplace, retail, automotive, and entertainment industries.  

With a focus on building meaningful relationships through trust and collaboration, Wes has enjoyed a 40-year career transforming goals and aspirations into reality. He has maintained long-standing client relationships which speak to his talent, collaborative spirit, and ability to consistently deliver inspired design.

Wes has a strong commitment to architecture and interior design and leverages it to drive organizational performance for clients. And while he enjoys working with clients across the nation, Charlotte holds a special place in his heart. He has been involved with numerous governmental, nonprofit, and community-based organizations and initiatives over the years to help advance initiatives close to home.  

In fact, he is actively involved in the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, DOWD YMCA, Charlotte Hospitality and Tourism Alliance, Leadership Charlotte, Rotary Club of Charlotte, and is the board chair for South Charlotte Partners.

Notable projects include Ballantyne Village, Concord North Carolina, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Metlife Headquarters, Neon Garage, SPX Technologies Headquarters, Sullenberger Aviation Museum, Time Warner Cable Headquarters, and zMAX Dragway.  

“Design drives business performance and can only happen as a result of first listening to the client, and then collaborating with stakeholders,” says Wes. “There is true power in the details.”

Wes has previously served in many roles including the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County Small Business advisory councils, Greater Charlotte YMCA, Leadership Charlotte, and MeckEd board chair. He was a recipient of the 2014 AIA Charlotte Citizen Architect Award. And in 2003, Wes was one of the founding partners of Progressive Companies’ Charlotte office.
